HONDA CARS TOKAI CO., LTD. has entered a cooperation agreement for disaster management with Ogaki City in Gifu Prefecture, under which the company will provide electric vehicles (EVs) and external electricity supply units free of charge in the event of disasters. In addition, through the corporate version of Furusato Nozei, one electric vehicle (EV) and one portable external electricity supply unit - valued at approximately ¥4,523,200 - were donated to Ogaki City.

Each of the five Honda Cars Tokai locations within Ogaki City is equipped with one EV to be served for emergency use, and the company plans to deploy an additional vehicle at each location in the future. The EV donated to the city is a Honda N-VAN e:, a K-car (mini-car) commercial electric vehicle capable of supplying enough electricity to power a typical household for two to three days on a single charge. When used with an external power supply unit, it can draw electricity from the vehicle to power various electrical devices. In addition to serving as an emergency power source at evacuation centers during disasters, the vehicle will also be used for disaster preparation drills and other activities during normal times.
