The Sustainability Committee examined SDGs initiative proposals to improve the Group and proposed them to the Board of Directors.
The Sustainability Committee was set up to strengthen the Group's commitment to the SDGs and is made up of 53 employees from 21 Group companies.
As the committee's first activity, entitled the 'SDGs Promotion Project', it examined SDGs initiative proposals over a period of four months from November 2021 and made proposals to the board members on 3 and 4 March 2022.
On the day, several ideas were proposed to the board members by the following six teams formed for each issue they wanted to tackle.
・Paperless, digital-based workplace and job improvements
・Hunger, poverty
・Job satisfaction, education
・Gender equality, equality between people and countries
・Renewable energy, EVs
・Natural environment conservation, resources, energy saving

Although there are still many challenges in realising the proposed SDGs initiatives, the Sustainability Committee will continue to take the lead in promoting the SDGs and realising the proposed initiatives.
